<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a converter refining method for adjusting silicon charging quantity in the converter, in which produced slag quantity after desiliconization and dephosphorization is reduced and the unit requirement of lime is reduced and fluorite is not used. SOLUTION: In the converter refining method for adjusting the silicon charging quantity comprising a first process for charging molten iron and scrap into the top and bottom combined blown converter, a second process for executing the desiliconization and the phosphorization, a third process for removing the slag, and then a fourth process for executing the decarburize-blowing, in the case high in Si value in the molten iron, before charging the molten iron into the converter, the desiliconizing treatment is executed, or after charging into the converter, the desiliconization is executed to adjust the Si value. The SiO2 quantity existing in the slag produced in the second process is regulated to be in the range of 5-10 kg/t, and in the second process, the fluorite is not used.</p> |
