<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the appearance of a seat back by removing the projecting feeling in a cabin, and improve the operatability in the self-locking in the rotation for raising of the seat back and the rotation for forward inclination. SOLUTION: A locking device of a seat back is designed in such manner that a lock pin 7 mounted on a base plate 6 fixed to the seat back is energized by a spring 12, and engaged with a lock hole 5d formed on an engagement plate 5 mounted on the body side of a vehicle to retain the seat back at a predetermined raising angle. On this occasion, a lift lever 11 having two arm parts 11a, 11b is pivotted on the base plate 6 while retained on a neutral position by the energizing force of the spring 12, and one of arm parts 11b is contacted with a front edge of the engagement plate 5 in the rotation for raising, of the seat back and rotated in the releasing direction from the neutral position, whereby the lock pin 7 is driven in the releasing direction to provide the self-locking state.</p> |
