PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily install a hub cap. SOLUTION: In this hub cap installing structure that the outer race 13 of a bearing 11 for rotatably supporting a wheel hub 15 is installed in one opening part 9 of a shaft hole 5 of an axle housing 3, a sensor 17 for detecting a wheel rotating speed is installed on a side end surface of the other opening part 7, a detecting part 21 of the sensor 17 is faced to the wheel hub 15 side by passing through into the shaft hole 5 from the other opening part 7, and a hub cap 1 for closing the other opening 7 side of the axle housing 3 while penetrating the detecting part 21 of the sensor 17 from an inserting 25 is installed on the other opening part 7 side. A recessed part 31 is formed in an annular shape between the shaft hole 5 side of the axle housing 3 and the outer race 13, a lip is arranged in an outer peripheral part of the hub cap 1, the outer peripheral part of the hub cap 1 is housed in the annular recessed part 31, and the lip matses elastical contact with at least one of the axle housing 3 and the outer race 13.
