PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To return an accelerator pedal to a predetermined return position with a pedal sensor even in the case where a movable part of a hysteresis mechanism comes to a stanstill in a pedaled state of the accelerator pedal. SOLUTION: An accelerator pedal 8 and a driving member 27 of a hysteresis mechanism 42 are provided respectively with a first contact part 8a and a second contact part 29 capable of separatably contacting with one another when the accel pedal 8 is rotated in the stepping direction for transmitting the rotating force of the accel pedal 8 to the driving member 27 of the hysteresis mechanism 42, a drive return spring 31 capable of energizing the driving member 27 to a returning position A side of the accel pedal 8 is connected to the driving member 27 of the hysteresis mechanism 42, and a pedal position sensor is connected to a pedal shaft 9 fixed to the accel pedal 8.
