PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit the volatilization of a plasticizer contained in a vinyl chloride resin molding and prevent the fogging and hardening of a vinyl chloride resin composition by using a polyglycerin fatty acid ester as a volatilization inhibitor. SOLUTION: This inhibitor, a polyglycerin fatty acid ester, is prepared by reacting a polyglycerin with a fatty acid in the presence or absence of a catalyst, such as phosphoric acid, p-toluenesulfonic acid or caustic soda, at 100-300 deg.C and removing water formed by the reaction from the reaction system. The polyglycerin fatty acid ester is an ester of a polyglycerin such as tetraglycerin, pentaglycerin, hexaglycerin or decaglycerin and a fatty acid such as lauric, myristic, palmitic, stearic or oleic acid. A polyglycerin fatty acid ester having an HLB of 8 or lower is preferable. The ester is added to a vinyl chloride resin at the step of mixing or kneading the resin with a heat stabilizer, a plasticizer and other compounding ingredients.
