PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ethylene/acrylate copolymer rubber composition which does not cause a sticking trouble in compounding and gives a vulcanized article excellent in flame-retardancy, heat resistance, oil resistance, voltage withstanding properties, elongation, mechanical strength and the like. SOLUTION: With 100 pts.wt. of a polymer component comprising 50-95 pts.wt. of an ethylene/methyl acrylate copolymer rubber having a melt flow rate, at 190 deg.C and a load of 2,160 g, of 0.1-100 g/10 min and a methyl acrylate content of 45-70 wt.% and 5-50 pts.wt. of an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer having a melt flow rate, at 190 deg.C and a load of 2,160 g, of 0.1-100 g/10 min and a vinyl acetate content of 20-50 wt.% are compounded 0.5-50 pts.wt. of a lubricant, 80-200 pts.wt. of a flame-retardant comprising a surface-treated metal hydroxide and 0.5-10 pts.wt. of a vulcanizing agent.
