PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely open a pull-lid of a can by forming an inclined piece part rising forward on the tip part of a base plate in an opener, opening an engagement hole corresponding to a pull-tab of the can in the base part thereof, and forming an engagement projection corresponding to a finger hole in the pull-tab in the rear part of the base part. SOLUTION: An inclined piece part 2 rising forward is formed on the tip part of a base plate 1 in an opener. An engagement hole 3 corresponding to a pull-tab 13 attached to a lid 12 of a can 1 through a shaft 15 is opened in the base part of the inclined piece part 2. In addition, an engagement projection 4 corresponding to the inside of the rear part in a finger hole 13a of the pull-tab 13 is formed in the base plate 1 at the rear part of the base part. The lower edge of the engagement hole 3 in the base plate 1 is abutted between the pull- tab 13 and the lid 12, and the base plate 1 is pressed forward in this condition to engage the engagement hole 3 with the pull-tab 13. Then, the rear end of the base plate 1 is pulled up to erect the pull-tab 13, and a pull-lid 14 is pressed downward of the lid 12 to open with a shaft 15 as a supporting point.
