An electronic ballast(EB) comprises a full-wave rectifier, and an accumulator circuit comprising two capacitors, a diode and a resistor. The diagonal of a half-bridge rectifier includes a primary winding of a current transformer. The secondary windings control the states of the switched elements of the half-bridge. An inductor has two windings. One winding is connected in series with a gas discharge lamp. The second is connected, in series with a capacitor, in parallel with the lamp. A low resistance is connected between the windings. |
