PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder capable of checking similarly to that in initial start after its shipment as needed. SOLUTION: In the recorder constituted to normally eliminate execution of an initial inspection except an initial switch-on of a power source after purchasing by executing the initial inspection (S56) for inspecting respective units of the recorder to confirm that a recording operation can be correctly executed and then writing information indicating that the initial inspection has already been executed in an EEPROM (S57), when a user operates a specific switch, the information written in a storage medium is erased (S54), and the inspection (S56) is again executed. |
