<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the controllability of a controller to be used for a game machine or the like. SOLUTION: A tilting operation element 16 is provided via four element switches 20 on the upper surface of a horizontal base 10 built into the body case 9 of a controller 2, in such a manner that the tilting operation element 16 can be tilted and displaced in four directions, up and down, and right and left. A slit 18 is formed vertically in the center of the tilting operation element 16 and a rotary dial plate 14 freely rotationally and vertically displaceably provided on a base 26 is stored in the slit 18 so that it does not interfere with displacement of the tilting operation element 16. The upper end of the rotary dial plate 14 projects outward from the slit 18. When a player rotates the rotary dial plate 14 through this projecting part, a rotation sensor detects this and transmits it to an internal microcomputer. When the player pushes the rotary dial plate 14 deep into the slit 18, a dial switch detects this and transmits it to the microcomputer.</p> |
