<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract/separate metals in solid waste easily, to treat the solid waste after metal extraction easily, to treat the solid waste safely and efficiently, and to facilitate the recovery and recycling of extracted/separated metals and the reuse of an extracting agent. SOLUTION: In a method for treating solid waste, a metal extracting agent having at least one of at least one of an alkali metal salt of a phosphate group bonded to the nitrogen atom of polyamines and an alkali metal salt of a carboxylate group in a molecule is contacted with the solid waste in the presence of a solvent, and the metals in the waste is extracted/separated into the solvent by the extracting agent.</p> |
