<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reuse by-product slag produced at the time of manufacturing silicomanganese in order to reduce amount of waste. SOLUTION: In a method for reusing the by-product slag produced at the time of manufacturing silicomanganese by a melt-reduction refining by charging manganese oxide such as a manganese ore, silicon oxide such as silica rock, a solid carbon material and a slag making agent into an electric furnace or a converter, the by-product slag is used as an auxiliary raw material for refining and a manganese source at the time of refining molten iron to steel in the converter.</p> |
