PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject surface treating agent capable of improving dispersibility when a filler is added to a thermoplastic resin, a thermosetting resin, an oil, a solvent, etc., and subjecting a filler to surface treatment so as to perform high filling by using a specific organosiloxane compound. SOLUTION: This surface treating agent comprises an organosiloxane compound of formula I [A1 to A3 are each methyl or a hydrolyzable silyl group- containing organic functional group of formula II (R1 is a bifunctional organic group; (a) is 0-2); B is an aryl or an aralkyl; (m) is 0-200; (n) is 0-50; and (r) and (s) are each 0-100] (to be concrete, a compound of formula III) as a main agent. The compound of formula I is obtained by a method for reacting a siloxane containing a reactive group such as an alkenyl group, an amino group, a halogen atom, etc. at the end with a silane which contains an isopropenoxy group and a reactive group to be reacted with the above-mentioned reactive group so as to introduce the isopropenoxy group to the siloxane. |
