ELECTRODEPOSITION DRUM FOR PRODUCING POROUS METALLIC FOIL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode drum enabling the continuous production of porous metallic foil by electrolytic deposition method. SOLUTION: This electrodeposition drum is a porous drum for a cathode, where the ratio (L/D) of pore depth L to pore diameter D is >=1 and the boundary line between insulating resin packed into the pores and an upper end of the pores has no aperture allowing the deposited metal penetrate thereinto. It is desirable to use a resin which is not stripped off from the inside wall of the pores due to shrinkage at the curing, e.g. silicone resin as the insulating resin.
