PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cooling efficiency of an electrode to be mounted on a plasma torch. SOLUTION: By integrating a cylindrical body 2, which is filled with refrigerant gas and liquid to a rear side 1b of the radiating surface 1a of the main body 1 of an electrode A, the electrode A is cooled by refrigerant such as cooling water. By forming a recessed groove 1d on the rear side 1b of the main body 1, the cylindrical body 2 with both ends of a cylindrical body 2a closed by lid bodies 2b, is force fitted into the recessed groove 1d. Cooling efficiency is improved by mechanisms that the temperature of the cylindrical body 2 rises almost uniformly, and a radiating area is enlarged by the convection current of gas generated inside the cylindrical body 2 by heat conducted from a discharge surface 1a and by the induction of the cylindrical body 2a. |
