PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent generation of rattling noises resulting from sudden steering, without decreasing the mountability of a power steering device on a vehicle. SOLUTION: This device forces hydraulic fluid fed from a hydraulic pump 1 back into an oil reservoir 4 via a power steering unit 2. In this case, a variable-capacity surge tank 6 is connected to a low pressure line 5 extending from the power steering unit 2 to the oil reservoir 4. Thus, pressure fluctuation in the low pressure line 5 due to sudden steering can be absorbed and reduced as the hydraulic fluid and air are surely held separated from each other. |
