PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-treated filler that is an inorganic filler for polymer, has a lower viscosity than that of untreated inorganic filler, further can maintain or increase the physical properties of the polymer and can promote vulcanization and curing of the polymer. SOLUTION: A tertiary-amino nitrogen atom-bearing tetra-functional oligomers that is a polycondensate between m-xylenediamine and epichlorohydrin is admixed to an inorganic filler in an amount of 5-100 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the inorganic filler and the resultant mixture is heat-treated at 50-250 deg.C to give the objective surface-treated inorganic filler. In this case, the tetrafunctional epoxy oligomer is admixed in an amount of 5-100 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the inorganic filler and the mixture is heat-treated at 50-200 deg.C.
