PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of a squeal caused by the warp of a disc pad and the partial wear of friction material. SOLUTION: In this disc pad 1 for a disc brake, one face of a pressure plate 12 is fitted with friction material 11, and the other face is pressed by a piston. The end parts of the pressure plate 12 are supported by support members. The part, fitted with the friction material 11, of the pressure plate 12 is larger in rigidity than other parts which are lug parts 14 in this case, and wall thickness t2 of the part corresponding to the friction material 11 is made substantially thicker than the lug parts 14. A face 12a provided with the friction material 11, and the surfaces 14a of the lug parts 14 of the pressure plate 12 are made a flat face.
