PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent increase in the number of part items and cost in suppressing an initial injection rate, and also reduce influence on an injection characteristic due to the change with the laps of hours of a valve spring. SOLUTION: This injector drive unit is equipped with a control device 82 for generating given command and high voltage requiring pulses based on an engine operating condition, a first switching means 29 for conducting the electromagnetic solenoid 85b of an injector to a battery 25 by the input of the command pulse, and second switching means 28 and 35 for conducting the solenoid 85 into a capacitor 27, for charging voltage VC higher than battery voltage VB; and switches whether the generation of the high voltage requiring pulse is existed or not based on the engine operating condition.
