PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unit type building in which a window installed as an emergent approach entrance can be used effectively. SOLUTION: A recessed section 41 extending over the overall length of the short side of a top face 31 along the short side is formed into the opening section of the inclined plane 32 of the three-story building unit 30B, the recessed section 41 is used as a balcony 41A, and the three-story building unit 30B is used as an inclined building unit with the short-side balcony. A window for sweepings 45 formed on a boundary section between the balcony 41A and an indoor space is used as an approach entrance 45A for emergency. The widow for sweepings 45 is also utilized as a passage for coming and going between the balcony 41A and the indoor space besides utilization as the approach entrance 45A for emergency. The window for sweepings 45 mounted as the approach entrance 45A for emergency can be utilized effectively.
