PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a materials-position correcting device for a side forklift truck, capable of automatically position-correcting diagonally loaded materials in parallel with he longitudinal direction of the body of the side forklift truck by installing belts or rollers on the pallets, in relation to the side forklift truck for handling and conveying so-called long materials such as timbers. SOLUTION: Position-correcting devices 30, 31 on which rollers are rotated, are provided on the front pallet 17 and the rear pallet 18 of a side forklift truck. By rotating the rollers in one direction, for example, even slantly loaded materials can be automatically arranged in the direction parallel to the longitudinal direction of the body 14 of the forklift truck. Further, as the position- correcting devices 30, 31, belts, the surfaces of which are sheet-like, can be used instead of the rollers. By moving the sheet-like belts in a fixed direction, materials such as timbers put on the sheet-like belts can be automatically arranged in the longitudinal direction of the body 14.
