PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability of a paper discharge tray by providing the paper discharge tray for sequentially aligning and loading sheet materials discharged from a device body and a tray driving means for storing the paper discharge tray in the device body or exposing it from the device body. SOLUTION: This automatic paper-discharge tray device for loading recorded charts discharged from a recording device body is provided with a paper discharge tray 3 for sequentially aligning and loading the recorded charts and a tray driving mechanism 40 for handling the paper discharge tray 3 for the recording device body. The paper discharge tray 3 is mounted so that it can be moved into or out of a paper discharge tray handling opening formed in a front surface of a case of the device, and therefore is constructed with a first tray 1 and a second tray 2 held on the first tray 1 in a state where it projects with a restoring force of a spring 12 in the exposing direction than the first tray 1. A tray driving mechanism is constituted so as to reciprocate the first tray 1 through a rack 1a with a rotation of a gear 6a by a motor 5.
