PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject resin composition excellent in developability, photosensitivity and surface curability, and to obtain the 3rd subject cured product excellent in flame retardancy, solvent resistance, acid resistance, heat resistance, etc., from the above resin composition. SOLUTION: The subject polycarboxylic acid resin is obtained by reaction between (a) an epoxy resin having at least two epoxy groups in the molecule and (b) a monocarboxylic acid having an alcoholic hydroxyl group to form an epoxycarboxylate resin to which, in turn, (c) a polybasic acid anhydride is added; wherein a compound of the formula is used as the polybasic acid anhydride. The 2nd objective photo-cation-curable resin composition comprises (A) the above polycarboxylic acid resin, (B) a cationic photopolymerization initiator and (C) a curing component. |
