<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the stability of a decomposing condition by sufficiently mixing an organohalogen compd. with steam. SOLUTION: In a decomposition apparatus wherein a gas containing an organohalogen compd. is irradiated with microwaves to form hot plasma and the organohalogen compd. is reacted with steam in hot plasma to be decomposed, a mixer 37 is provided in the confluent part of the organohalogen compd. supplied by a separate system and steam. A resistance element for partially obstructing the flow of the organohalogen compd. and steam, for example, an orifice 38 is provided in the mixer 37. By this constitution, the organohalogen compd. and steam flowing in the mixer 37 impinge against the orifice 38 to collide with each other to be accelerated in mixing. Since a turbulent flow is formed on the downstream side of the orifice 38, mixing is further accelerated on the downstream side of the orifice.</p> |
