PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove wrinkles at a part of film covering a portion except the bottom section of an item and improve a packaging quality. SOLUTION: There is provided a packaging device in which a film F is extended to cover an item from above, a circumferential edge of the film is folded into a lower side of the bottom surface of a tray A acting as an item to perform a packaging operation, and the folded circumferential edge of the film F is heated, melted and adhered. A heating means 41 for heating the film F covering a part except the bottom surface section of the item A and removing wrinkles present at the film F is arranged near a heater 16 for heating the circumferential edge of the film covering the tray A.
