PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coating composition improved in an alkali-defilming property, coating film dryability, blocking resistance, rust preventiveness, coating stability and press workability. SOLUTION: This composition is a coating composition comprising an acrylic resin and neutralizer; wherein the acrylic resin comprises (a) a copolymer of a methacrylic ester made from methacrylic acid and a >=2C alcohol, styrene and a carboxyl group-containing monomer and (b) a polymer of a polymeriazable compound with ether linkage.
