PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide flame retardant resin compositions capable of obtaining molded articles having a good appearance without burning and foaming and generation of gums and strand water leakage at the time of preparation by kneading and molding, and not only high in the flame retardance of molded articles but also high in the strength of the molded articles, and their molded articles. SOLUTION: Flame retardant resin compositions comprise (A) 35-80 wt.% polyolefin based resin, (B) 15-35 wt.% ammonium polyphosphate, (C) 3-20 wt.% polyamide, and (D) 2-10 wt.% amine salt formed by reacting an amine compound having at least one nitrogen atom with at least one acid selected from phosphoric acid, pyrophosphoric acid, condensed phosphoric acid and cyanuric acid. Molded articles are obtained by molding these flame retardant resin compositions.
