PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an agrochemical spreader having excellent wetting and spreading property, that is an agrochemical spreader having a low surface tension, high permeability and low foaming property, and excellent in compatibility with an agrochemical by formulating a specific polyglycerin fatty acid ester. SOLUTION: This agrochemical spreader comprises a polyglycerin fatty acid ester of the formula (R is a 4-30C alkyl or alkylene; n=2-30). In the formula, R is preferably a 11-19C alkyl or alkylene; concretely, it is derived from a synthetic fatty acid, a natural saturated fatty acid or a natural unsaturated fatty acid, for example, it is derived from 2-ethylhexanoic acid, capric acid or the like. The n of the polyglycerin moiety in a compound of the formula has a distribution as a necessity of its production process, and the polyglycerin fatty ester is a mixture. The compound of the formula is obtained, for example, through a process in which a mixture of a fatty acid and an acid catalyst is kept at about 140 deg.C, and a glycidol is added dropwise to the mixture, taking several hours.
