PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the instep part adjustable without deforming shoes and reduce troubles to put on and off shoes by installing belts with hook-and-loop fasteners on both sides of inner instep and outer instep so as to cross each other. SOLUTION: This working shoe 14 consists mainly of an instep cover 15, a belt 16 with a hook-and-loop fastener on the inner instep side, a belt 17 with a hook-and-loop fastener on the outer instep side, and a shoe bottom 22. Belts 16 and 17 with hook-and-loop fasteners of the working shoe 14 has the same effect as a shoestring since they are installed so as to cross each other. Namely, when tight fastening is wanted, instep covers on both inner instep and outer instep can be fastened uniformly without distortion. Also partial fastening and loosening are possible at a limited portion. This function of adjustable fastening level at a specified portion is a feature lacking in shoestring. Elimination of shoestring binding and releasing as well as easy releasing all the belts facilitate shoe wearing and removing very much. In view of cost sewing is not so complicated.
