PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work vehicle having a capability of performing prompt and smooth speed control against disturbances during vehicle speed control. SOLUTION: In this vehicle, vehicle speed V0 is read (S11) and accelerationΔV is calculated based the vehicle speed V0 and the preceding speed V0-1 (S12). A predicted value of vehicle speed VX after a predetermined timeαis calculated based on the calculated accelerationΔV (S13). Then, the predicted value of vehicle speed VX is compared with reference control speed VR set in advance to control the predicted value of vehicle speed VX to a value less than prescribed maximum speed Vmax (S14). In this case, when it is judged that the predicted value of vehicle speed VX is likely to exceed the reference control speed VR, a target throttle opening degree is calculated using a control map based on the accelerationΔV and a current throttle opening degree TA0 (S15). Then, the throttle valve opening degree is controlled to be the calculated target regardless of a stroke amount of an accelerator pedal so as to perform smooth speed control without delay.
