PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a discharge point position and a discharge amount by setting diaphragms which define a plurality of recessed parts for storing ink, electrodes formed on side faces of the diaphragms and guide members having leading end parts, and the like. SOLUTION: Recessed parts 6 each having a guide member 4 at a bottom face are formed by etching or the like to a surface (upper face) of a substrate 1. Then, electrodes 8 are formed to side faces of the recessed parts 6. A voltage is impressed to the recording electrodes 8, whereby an electric field is generated between the electrodes and counter electrodes (grounding potential) of a rear face of a recording paper. In this case, a sharp end part of the guide member 4 is always kept wet because the ink stored in the recessed part 6 reaches the sharp end part with tracing a side face of the guide member 4. Charged toner particles in the ink consequently receive a static force and are discharged from the sharp end part to the counter electrode. A leading end of the guide member becomes a discharge point. Adjacent recessed parts 6 (ink reservoirs) are separated by a diaphragm 5, preventing the ink from moving between the adjacent recessed parts 6.
