PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject compound useful as an intermediate for synthesizing medicines, etc., by hydrolyzing or alcoholizing a fluoroacyloxy compound in the presence of a specific rare earth-based catalyst. SOLUTION: In hydrolyzing or alcoholizing a 2-fluoro-1-acyloxy compound expressed by formula I (R1 and R2 are each H, F, an alkyl or an aromatic group; R3 is H, an alkyl, an alkenyl or an aromatic group; X is an acyl; R2 may form a cyclic structure together with R3.), (e.g. 1,1-difluoro-2-acetoxyindane and the like), preferably 0.001-10 times mole, more preferably 0.01-5 times mole of a rare earth-based catalyst expressed by the formula RE(OSO2Rf)3 (RE is a rare earth element; Rf is a perfluoroalkyl) is applied to obtain the objective compound expressed by formula II. |
