摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate the objective enantiomer useful in the pharmaceutical industry, chemical industry and the like, under flexible and economical conditions by reacting a specific enantiomer-contg. mixture with a specific reagent in a basic medium to form a diastereomer mixture which, in turn, is subjected to separatory operation. SOLUTION: The objective enantiomer is separated by the following steps: a mixture containing an enantiomer having at least one free functional group (pref. an amino acid) is reacted, in the presence of a basic medium, with a reagent based on a purely enantiomeric amino acid where at least one amino group in the amino acid has an active group [pref. (4-nitrophenyloxy)carbonyl group] for forming the active precursor of an isocyanate group and at least one carboxyl group in the amino acid is pref. substituted with 2-methoxyethyl group or the like (pref. phenylalanine) to form a diastereomer mixture, which, in turn, is subjected to a separatory operation pref. as HPLC chromatography.
