PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a tap under an always clean state by providing a protective seal having a size which can cover the tap and the periphery of a canned beverage container being opened by unsealing a pull top or the like. SOLUTION: A protective seal 10 having a size which can cover a tap and the periphery is provided on a canned beverage container. The protective seal 10 is constituted of an adhesive tape, and is formed into a shape which covers a pull top 14 section of the container main body 12 of the canned beverage container to a section corresponding with the tap on the side surface 12a of the container main body 12. When the protective seal 10 is peeled from the container main body 12, a tab 10a is held by hand, and is pulled in the direction shown by arrow 10b by a specified force or higher. By this motion, the protective seal 10 is easily peeled from the container main body 12, and the tap section is exposed. By this constitution, since the tap is always covered with the protective seal until a consumer peels the protective seal 10, the tap can be always kept under a clean state until right before the time of drinking.
