PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manufacture a wheel nut which is light-weight and high high strength. SOLUTION: In this method for manufacturing a wheel nut, a blank B having a prescribed length dimension is cut out from an ASTM G9 titanium alloy bar subjected to softening, annealing and peeling, and is subjected to cold forging to be formed into a nearly wheel nut shape, thereafter finishing is executed succeeding the execution of thread cutting and outer profile forming.
