PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically supply a work to a lower surface plate in an apparatus where both surfaces of a plurality of works are simultaneously ground by autorotating a plurality of carriers retaining the works, between the upper and lower rotary surface plates, by joining the works and the carriers, and supplying the works onto the lower surface plate. SOLUTION: A double-side grinding apparatus 100 comprises a lower rotary surface plate 111, and an upper rotary surface plate assembled concentrically with the lower rotary surface plate, a center gear 113 is mounted on a central part of the lower rotary surface plate 111, and a plurality of autorotating means 114... are mounted around the lower rotary surface plate 111. On this occasion, a joining mechanism consisting of a work conveying part 120, a work positioning part 130, a carrier conveying part 150 and a carrier positioning part 160, for joining the works 400 and the carriers 500 at the outside of the grinder body 110, is mounted. The works 400 and the carriers 500 joined by the mechanism are supplied onto the rotary surface plate 111 by a work conveying part 170. The work conveying part 170 also acts as a work discharging mechanism after the termination of the grinding work. |
