PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game medium dispensing device capable of extending the period during which a nonvolatile memory for backing up data is usable. SOLUTION: An EEPROM 61 which backs up credit data is provided with a plurality of credit storage areas in which the credit data can be stored. The control part 60 of a ball dispensing controller 34 causes backup data to be stored in the selected backup data storage area, and switches the backup data storage area in which to store the backup data to other backup storage area when conditions for changing storage areas are met.
