PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant-growing roof capable of surely supporting a channel material for fixing soil onto an outer surrounding plate joined without using a clip and preventing rainwater. SOLUTION: In this roof for growing plant, a spring joiner 16 has a pressing part 16a and an engaging part 16b protruded to the lower surface. A garter 10 is arranged so as to fit in a groove 6 formed in a ground material 2 and the upper horizontal part on both sides of the garter 10 is fixed to the upper surface of the ground material 2. A keeper 12 is arranged so as to fix to the garter 10. A plurality of roof plates 14 are adjacently arranged so as to border the garter 10 on the upper surface of the ground material 2 and opposed sides of the roof plates 14 are nipped by a plate-receiving part of the keeper 12 and a pressing part 16a of the spring joiner 16. A plurality of channel members 18 for fixing soil are arranged on the roof plates 14 and flange part of the channel member 18 is fixed with a screw in the center of the pressing part 16a of the spring joiner 16. An air permeable sheet 22 is laid on the roof plate 14 and a net-like metal plate 24 is arranged thereon. Soil 226 is piled up on the metal plate 24 and a plant such as turf 28 is planted in the soil 26.
