PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the natural touch of a base paper and check the surface diffusion of ink so as to heighten the concentration of an image and its resolution and improve the absorbability of the ink by a method wherein an ink accepting layer is formed in island-like shapes sporadically interspersed on the surface of the base paper on at least one side of the base paper mainly made of pulp fibers. SOLUTION: By sporadically interspersing a ink-accepting layer 2 in island- like shapes on the surface 1 of a base paper, the surface diffusion of ink is limited within the interior of each island of the ink accepting layer, resulting in suppressing the surface diffusion of the ink. The shapes of the ink accepting layer 2 are not limited only to squares and can be arbitrary shapes sporadically interspersed in the island-like fashion. Under the state that the ink accepting layers are sporadically interspersed in islands, the average diameter of the ink accepting layers is preferably 3 to 250,μm, more preferably 5 to 100 μm. The covering rate of the ink accepting layers in the base paper is preferably 30 to 70%, more preferably 50 to 70%. The material of the base paper is not specially limited as long as one is mainly made of fibrous pulp. |
