PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give a remarkably excellent color developability to the image receiving layer of a recording medium by a method wherein the recording medium is produced by compounding water-soluble acrylic resin particles, silica beads, cellulose powder and elastic resin beads in the organic solvent solution of urethane-based resin. SOLUTION: The image receiving layer forming composition of an ink jet printing is prepared by compounding and dispersing water-soluble acrylic resin particles, silica beads, cellulose powder and elastic resin beads in the organic solvent solution of urethane-based resin. By removing solvent from the above composition, an ink jet printing recording medium equipped with an image receiving layer can be obtained. As the concrete example of the organic solvent, an aliphatic organic solvent such as propanol or the like and an aromatic organic solvent such as toluene or the like are exampled. The preferable average particle diameter of the water-soluble acrylic resin particles is 0.5 to 150 μm. The preferable average particle diameter of the silica beads is 1 to 10 μm. The preferable aspect ratio of the cellulose powder is 1 to 50. |
