<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating organic waste which improves the efficiency of fermentation and the quality of produced compost by controlling a fermentation condition properly on the basis of measured values. SOLUTION: In a method for treating organic waste in which an enzyme is supplied into a fermentation tank 1, a fermentation bed 3 in the tank 1 is agitated intermittently, and the waste is decomposed by the fermentation reaction by microorganisms in the tank 1, a control means 5 detects data including the water content, oxygen concentration, temperature of the fermentation bed 3 by a measuring means 10, the oxygen concentration is controlled by a ventilation means 6, it is judged whether the measured value of the water content is proper or not, and water is added as required. It is judged whether the temperature of a fermentation layer is within a proper range or not, the amount of air to be supplied is changed as required, the activity of the decomposition bacteria of the fermentation bed 3 is monitored by a fermentation monitor means 11, it is agitated as required, and when the recovery of the activity of the bacteria is judged to be insufficient, the fermentation is finished.</p> |
