PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chuck offering quick tool change while being mounted on a spindle of a machine tool. SOLUTION: A chuck includes a mounting base, a protruded shaft 12 protruded from the front center of the base and having a tapered face on the outer periphery, a hole 16 in which clamping parts 14 having a small radius from the center and pressuring parts 15 having a large radius from the center are arranged alternately on the protruded shaft with its end opening at a plurality of equal positions on the inner periphery and between the clamped parts, a rotationally movable cylinder 20 detachably fitted to the outside of the protruded shaft 12, and a group of rollers 21 arranged on the inside of the rotationally movable cylinder along the axis of the rotationally movable cylinder and supported by a proper means, whereby a tool is clamped or unclamped with the rotationally movement of the rotationally movable cylinder. |
