PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of wastes and to prevent dispersion of the wastes, leakage of rotten liquids and harmful matters, and emission of offensive smells at the time of transportation or putting in for reclamation by a method wherein the wastes including plastics or the like which are not disposed by incineration are pressurized and compressed to become a lump in a specified shape and hardness and wrapped up with a plastic film. SOLUTION: Wastes put in a hopper 1a are supplied with a belt conveyer 1b to a lump forming chamber formed of inner faces of two tight bars 2a and 2b whereon pipes are arranged in a caterpillar shape, and the supplied wastes are pressurized and compressed in a way of being rolled up and formed into a drum-like lump. The pressure applied during the above-mentioned process is detected by a pressure detecting means 3 and when the pressure comes to a specified value, driving of a supplying device is stopped and a cord is unwound from a cord reel and wound round the surface of the drum of the wastes. Then, the chamber part 2c is opened and the wastes are transferred to a support table 8a through delivery rails 2d, and a plastic film 7 is wound round the surface of the wastes with the support table 8a rotated.
