PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tapered paper box which can be automatically manufactured and is watertight. SOLUTION: The tapered paper box comprises a connection piece 7 which is continuously formed on forward and rearward ends of right and left second side walls 4 and advanced in a clearance between right and left ends of double side walls comprising first and second side walls in the longitudinal direction and adhered thereto when each side wall is erected, and a folding piece 8 which is continuously formed between right and left and forward and rearward first side walls 3, 5 to connect these side walls, each folding piece 8 is valley-folded in the erecting direction at the center during the erection, and advanced in a clearance between right and left ends of the double side walls 5, 6 and folded therein, and the connection piece 7 is attached thereon to form a corner part. In order to prevent the juice from entering in the erecting direction through the capillary phenomenon, an embossed portion 10 is formed symmetric to a center folding line 81 halfway in the erecting direction of the folding piece, and its projecting portion overlaps by the valley folding.
