PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an objective judgement to discern possibility of a damage received by a housed matter for a paper case having the matter housed therein and being formed in a column-like shape at its external form by a method wherein discernment lines which judge possibility of the damage received by the housed matter when a corner is crushed are provided at external surfaces of wall parts of the paper case. SOLUTION: At the surfaces of entire wall parts 10a, 10c, 10d... of a paper case 10 formed in a column or shape at its external form and having a matter contained in its hollow inside, discernment lines 12 which judge possibility of a damage received by the housed matter when a corner of the paper case 10 is crushed are provided. The discernment lines 12 may be indicated by printing, or formed mechanically in stripes at the surfaces of the wall parts 10a... under the unfolded state on manufacturing. The discernment lines 12 are formed in two as the first and second discernment lines 12a and 12b which are provided at the inside of the edges of the wall parts 10a..., being in parallel with the edges. Then, possibility of the damage received by the housed matter is judged by discerning whether or not a crush produced at a corner of the paper case 10 reaches the discernment line.
