PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the duration of a cycle for sticking a label and to improve a capacity of processing for a system which has a plurality of label sticking machines for sticking labels to articles on a conveyer by a method wherein the labels are stuck alternately by each of the label sticking machines. SOLUTION: A labeling conveyer 2 for conveying a plurality of packaged and measured articles M1, M2 is arranged at the downstream side of a measuring conveyer 1. In this case, a plurality of label sticking machines 31t, 32t are arranged above the labeling conveyer 2 in the conveyance direction, and labels delivered from a plurality of label printers 31p, 32p are respectively stuck to each of the articles M1, M2. When a specified time T1 is passed after the article M2 is detected by a detector 7, the label is stuck to the article M2 with the label sticking machine 31t. Then, at when a specified time T2 is passed after the article M2 is detected by the detector 7, the label is stuck to the article M1 with the label sticking machine 32t.
