PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect obstacles within a railway crossing by a few sensors by providing an alarm information output means on a train when obstacles are detected within the railway crossing by the sensors. SOLUTION: In a railway crossing control system, a millimeter wave sensor 11 using signals of millimeter wave bands as detection signals is installed on a driving part so as to be oscillating rotatable. By making the driving part perform rotary motion in a prescribed angle range, a detection object area of the sensor 11 is changed and obstacles at various kinds of places within the railway crossing can be detected. Further, the states of roads on both sides of the railway crossing such as the presence or absence of vehicles advancing into the railway crossing and the presence or absence of snarl of the roads can be detected by the millimeter wave sensor 11. At a railway crossing entrance, an information display plate 12 for displaying information as to whether vehicles can be advanced into the railway crossing according to the states of the roads ahead of the railway crossing which are detected by the millimeter wave sensor 11 is installed and this information display is performed by a control part 14.
