PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture the whole constituting material from a recyclable resin material by forming a welt by sticking skin cloth of a polypropylene fiber material to an outside surface of a welt main body of an olefinic thermoplastic resin material by themal fusion by using heat at extrusion molding time of the welt main body. SOLUTION: This welt 1 for an automobile is a cross-sectional almost U shape, and is composed of an olefinic thermoplastic resin material, and is composed of a welt main body 3 embedded with core metal 2 and skin cloth 4 composed of a decorative polypropylene fiber material stuck to the outside surface 3a by thermal fusion. This skin cloth 4 is stuck to the welt main body 3 by thermal fusion using heat generated at extrusion molding time of the welt main body 3. A polyethylene resin and olefinic thermaoplastic elastomer can be cited as the olefinic thermoplastic resin material. Thus, a constituting material of the welt main body 3 and the skin cloth 4 is effectively adapted to an environmental measure since it can be easily recycled.
