PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the development of spoilage at the starting of the printing of a next plate due to drying of the outer peripheral surface of a plate cylinder by a method wherein an opening is so constituted as to be covered by a mask under the condition that no continuous next processing image data is present at the printing based on processing image data sent from a host machine. SOLUTION: A receiving and sensting means 91 announces the presence of a next processing page though a stencil printing device main body 90 is under processing when the data on a next page is received from a host machine 92 under the state that the data stored in a memory are sending to a controlling means 84. When the controlling means 84 recognizes the presence of next processing image data before the receipt of image data from the receiving and sensting means 91 or during their receiving, a processing printing mode is changed-over by a mode changing-over function to a second process printing mode. When the controlling means 84 does not recognize the presence of the next processing image data, a processing printing is executed in a first processing printing mode in order to prevent the opening of the outer peripheral surface of a plate cylinder from being exposed to the air.
