PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a core material for a wig base and a wig without breaking through each corner part of the nape part and tuft parts of the wig base and outwardly protruding even when repetitively worn. SOLUTION: This core material 1 for a wig base is obtained by covering a base material 2 thereof with a flexible synthetic resin 3 and locating and arranging one end 1a thereof covered with the flexible synthetic resin 3 in each corner part of the nape part or tuft parts of the wig base.
